USD 447's school board has approved a plan to push back the starting date for Cherryvale and Thayer schools to September 1st.

At a special meeting held Monday, the board approved a plan that follows Governor Laura Kelly's executive order regarding COVID-19 safety measures in schools. Face coverings will be required for all students and adults when inside USD 447 facilities. Social distancing will be encouraged as much as possible. Kids participating in athletics will not be required to wear face coverings when performing drills or game-related activities. However, athletes will be required to wear coverings while on the sidelines.
