A Girard woman was arrested over the weekend for several charges including trespassing and counterfeit currency.
On July 25th, at approximately 9:30PM, Chanute police responded to a report of someone trespassing at a business in the 2700 block of South Santa Fe. Upon officers arrival, they made contact with an individual reporting there was an adult female inside the store that had been previously issued a no trespassing order to not be on the property.
During the investigation, officers went inside the store, and located 36-year-old Nichole Michelle Kichler and she was placed under arrest. Kichler was found to have several $100 bills believed to be counterfeit and a bag with a crystal like substance.
Kichler was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident for criminal trespassing, counterfeit currency with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
