USD 446 will be starting its school year just a little bit later than originally planned. The school board voted Thursday to officially move the first day of classes from Friday, August 14th to Wednesday, August 19th.
The board voted 5-2 to delay the first day of classes so that teachers may get accustomed to new guidelines produced by the Kansas State Board of Education last week. USD 446 will release a more detailed reopening plan next week. There will be the option of on-site or remote learning.
