Independence City Hall is shutting down to the public due to a positive COVID-19 test of a city employee. Utility bill payments may be made over the phone at 1-844-215-7377, online at independenceks.gov, or dropped off at the two drop box locations at either 811 W Laurel Street or 120 N 6th Street. The city is working on establishing a phone line for utility services that should be available sometime next week.
