A man was arrested early this morning in Caney on a count of domestic battery.

At approximately 12:10 AM, Caney Police were dispatched a residence in the 100 block of East Taylor Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. During the investigation of this incident officers learned that a female had been assaulted and suffered injuries. Officers with CPD and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office made contact with a male subject at the home. The male subject had allegedly made threats towards law enforcement. Officer's identified the male as 41-year old Nicholas Finley of Owasso, Oklahoma. He was arrested for domestic battery.

The case remains under investigation and further charges are expected.
