Two people were injured in a multi-car crash that occurred at around 10am Friday morning in Cherokee County.
Three vehicles were headed eastbound on U.S. 400 driven by 69-year old Dennis Burk of Spearville, 69-year old Jerry Ludlum of Chanute and 67-year old Nancy Gomaz of Charlotte, Tennessee.
The vehicles driven by Ludlum and Gomaz were stopped at a stop sign at the K7 junction. Burk's truck failed to stop and hit Ludlum's vehicle which then hit Gomaz's vehicle. Burk then entered the intersection and hit a semi that was headed northbound on K7 driven by 47-year old J.W. Bowman of Seneca, Missouri. Ludlum and his passenger 57-year old Amy Ludlum were transported to Via Christi Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
Burk, Gomaz and Bowman had no apparent injuries and seatbelts were in use in all vehicles.
