Kelly Issues Order Requiring Masks

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has issued the executive order requiring most Kansans wear a face mask in a public space or in spaces where you can't social distance properly. This order takes effect at 12:01am tomorrow and will remain in effect until rescinded or until the state wide disaster declaration expires.

Kelly says the last few months have presented many challenges for Kansans, and everyone wants to return to their normal lives. Unfortunately, we have seen a spike in the number of cases in the state. She says the order doesn't change where you can go or what you can do, but wearing a mask is a simple and effective way to stay healthy. Guidance regarding specific places or situations can be find in the full executive order here.
