A rural Riverton man was arrested yesterday afternoon after a drug raid was conducted by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
During the course of the search, detectives located and seized suspected narcotics and took two minor children into police protective custody. Arrested at the scene was 35-year old Adam C. Evans.
Evans is being held in the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of Possessing Methamphetamine, Possessing Drug Paraphernalia and 2 Counts of Child Endangerment. Evans is also being held on an outstanding felony drug warrant out of Jasper County, Missouri.
The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.
