Gas Prices Continue To Rise

 

The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has continues to climb as it currently stands at $2.17 a gallon, which is six cents higher than a week ago, 21 cents more than a month ago and 49 cents less than a year ago, according to AAA.

 

In Kansas, prices have climbed up to $1.95 which is up 5 cents since last week and is nearly 28 cents higher than last month. Montgomery County is currently higher than the state average by 2 cents at $1.97, while Labette County is one cent higher than the state average at $1.96 a gallon. Chautauqua County clocked in at $1.94 a gallon which is one cent lower than the state average.

 

Across the border in Oklahoma, the state average is $1.90. Washington and Nowata counties came in slightly under the state average at $1.86 and $1.77 a gallon, respectively.
