Independence High School has announced they are canceling their graduation. According to a post on their Facebook page they say it is with a heavy heart that they are announcing that graduation on Sunday will not be taking place due to the repeated recommendations of both the governor and local health officials to not hold mass gatherings.

They are looking into other ways to honor the class of 2020 in the future. More information on how seniors will receive their diplomas, class t-shirts, and other graduation regalia will be shared when a plan has been fully developed. The safety of the students, staff, and the community is of the utmost importance to our district.
