An individual involved with the Summer Weights and Conditioning Program at Cherryvale Middle Senior High School has been positively diagnosed with COVID-19. This report was made by the individual tested, and has not yet been confirmed by the Montgomery County Health Department. The individual was last present at the weights session on Thursday and first developed symptoms on Friday. Once the district has received guidance from the County Health Department, all individuals who are at high risk of exposure will be notified and given further instructions.

Although there is no evidence of others exhibiting symptoms at this time, as a precaution, they will be closing the facilities at CMHS in order to thoroughly disinfect all areas. Summer weights and conditioning and Driver’s Ed will be suspended until they can determine that no one else becomes ill.
