Caney Valley Schools released a statement this weekend saying those who participated in summer workout programs could have had a possible exposure to COVID-19. The district says no student or staff member is showing any symptoms. The statement says participants in the voluntary summer weights and conditioning program may have been exposed through two degrees of separation to a positive COVID-19 case. There have been no staff or students exhibiting symptoms but as a precaution they will be closing the facilities.
The district says it will be testing all involved. It also recommends students who participated in workouts for volleyball, basketball, track and football limit their exposure to other individuals. All areas within the facilities are expected to be disinfected.
