Dalton Defenders Days will still have a festival this year, albeit a scaled-down version. This year's festival will take place on Saturday, October 3rd only. There will be three reenactments, scheduled for 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. There will also be activities scheduled throughout the day. 

The festival is being scaled down for 2020 due to the pandemic and financial-related concerns. Dalton Defenders Days celebrates the four townspeople who died defending Coffeyville from the Dalton Gang. The gang was attempting to rob two banks in the city, but all but one were wiped out by the townspeople.
