Coffeyville PD Receives Praise From Pastor Over Protests

The Coffeyville Police Department received high praise from a local pastor for its conduct during recent protests in the city. Pastor Melvin Simpson of the First Church of God and Christ in Coffeyville addressed the city commission at Tuesday's meeting.

He said he thought Police Chief Kwin Bromley did an excellent job communicating with the protesters.

Around 200 people gathered last week in front of Nellis Hall at Coffeyville Community College to protest racial inequality in America. Simpson also thanked the city for its response to the COVID-19 outbreak, which had affected both him and his wife.
