Every school district in the state of Kansas received money courtesy of the CARES Act. USD 445 received around $450,000, which Assistant Superintendent Michael Speer says some of that will be used to purchase laptops for each Community Elementary student.
The laptops will cost around $270,000 and will provide each student access to a laptop at school. The school board voted unanimously to approve the purchase.
