Labette County Declares State of Emergency After First Positive Test

 

With the first confirmed case of Coronavirus in Labette County, the county commission on recommendation from the Emergency Management Director Charlie Morse declared a state of emergency. Commissioner Doug Allen made the motion.

 

The first case, who was identified as a 61 year old man, has been quarantining himself since the first moment he began to feel sick. Health Department Director Lisa Stivers and Emergency Management Director Charlie Morse have tips to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.  There have been 428 positive tests and 4,996 negative tests in the state of Kansas.
