A 37-year old Chanute man has been arrested after going on a crime spree earlier this week.
Officers with the Chanute Police Department responded to several garage and car burglaries in the area of Ronda Lane East to Kansas Street and Main Street south to Third. Several people in this area reported their garages and/or vehicles were entered into and their belongs had been rummaged through and some items were taken. A person was able to share a home video of an individual that appeared on their front porch. The video assisted law enforcement in the investigation.
The next day, Chanute officers arrested Brandon W. Yohe for two counts of aggravated burglary , five counts burglary of a vehicle, one count of burglary of a dwelling, one count burglary of a non-dwelling, six counts of theft and two counts of criminal damage to property. The Police Department also recovered several items that have yet to be claimed.
Anyone who had items taken from their property are advised to call central dispatch at (620) 431-5768 and ask to speak with an officer.
