The Labette County Commission held a special meeting to discuss what county buildings would be open to the public. After discussion between commissioners and recommendation from Dr. Sonya Culver, Commissioner Doug Allen made a motion to limit access to the county buildings.
Director of Emergency Management Charlie Morse says the protocol they've put in place is to help keep the exposure of the virus down to not only county employees but to the public as well. Morse says at this time Labette County has not declared this a disaster, and there have been no confirmed positive cases in the county. The commission will meet again at 1:00pm on March 31st to reassess the situation.
