Coffeyville Community College will keep its campus open, but will cancel all activities in response to concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19). The decision comes alongside the choices of several other schools to close following a recommendation to do so by the Kansas State Department of Education, but CCC's Yvonne Hull said they made their decision after consulation with other state departments.
Classes will be held for the week of March 16-20, with Spring Break coming up the following week. Hull said efforts have been stepped up to keep CCC as clean and safe as possible.
Despite classes being held, activities at CCC have all been cancelled, including Red Ravens spring sports. CCC has said that the current situation is a fluid one and that changes may be made. We will continue to provide updates as we get them.
