KDOT to Start Work on K-99 Improvements

The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to start a project to make improvements on the K-99 corridor in Chautauqua County starting next week, weather permitting.

Project activity includes installing reflective delineators along 14 miles of K-99, from Sedan north to the Chautauqua-Elk county line; and improving the slopes at the intersection of K-99 and Quivira Road.

A pilot car and flaggers will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone as the delineators are placed along the highway. Expect delays of 15 minutes or less during daylight hours.

The project is expected to be completed in one month, weather permitting.
