Coffeyville City Commission Highlighted by 2019 Service Awards

 

The Coffeyville City Commission had their first meeting in March on Tuesday night with plenty of highlights and recognition for the 2019 Service Awards to those who have served the city of Coffeyville for a number of years. 

 

Human Resource Director Allison Pryor announced all of the receipients for the 2019 Service Awards. 

 

Also during the meeting, Chief of Police Kwin Bromley swore in Police Captain Darin Daily. 

 

Other items on the regular agenda included recognition and thank you's to the First Southern Baptist Church in Dearing for a $4500 donation to the Coffeyville Police Department Fill a Cruiser Event. There was also an announcement of the Kansas Department of Transportation Alternative Grants for the Rails to Trails and Safe Routes to Schools in Coffeyville. 

 

Old business included the applications to serve on the Coffeyville Recreation Commission Board for both Lisa Collins and Allen Gillis. 

 

New business went through several ordinances and one included purchasing playground equipment for North Park. Also, there was a presentation of the Gold AAA Kansas Traffic Safety Award to the Coffeyville Police Department. 

 

That was followed by the City Manager's report. Towards the end of the meeting there were building permit reports for January and February plus crime statistics from Coffeyville Police for February.
