The Chautauqua County Commission met on Friday for its regularly scheduled meeting on the last working day of the month.
As usual, the morning's meeting got started with an update on the roads and bridges by Mark McCall. Several roads and topics were discussed during this week's update, with the area near Road 32 and Cowboy Road getting the most discussion. Commissioner Rodney Shaw said that ultimately, it is the commission's job to take care of the road system in the county.
Misti Byers of the health department also gave a brief report to the commission, and Crystal Wade also stopped by and had a discussion with the three commissioners on how best to collect delinquent trash fees throughout the county.
The board will have a quick turnaround, meeting again on Monday at the Chautauqua County courthouse. The meeting will begin at 8:30 am.
