One person was hit and killed by a car, after their own car crashed on an icy bridge in Bourbon County early Wednesday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a vehicle was crossing a bridge at around 4:40 am, going northbound just north of Arrowhead Road on US-69. The driver of the car lost control on a slick spot and crashed into the median. The driver got out of their car, and a second vehicle also lost control in the same area, hitting and killing the driver of the first car.
All northbound traffic was diverted for more than an hour as authorities responded to the incident.
