Kansas has climbed into the top 10 of cheapest gas in the nation coming in at number 9, according to GasBuddy.com.
While the national average is currently stands at $2.47 a gallon, an average gallon of regular gasoline comes in at nearly 30 cents cheaper at $2.18 in Kansas. That is just over 3 cents higher than last week's average and but down 7 cents from last month.
Montgomery County came in at $2.21 a gallon which is 3 cents higher than the state average. Labette County comes in at 5 cents under the state average at $2.13 a gallon while Chautauqua and Elk counties are level with the state average of $2.18.
Across the border in Oklahoma, an average gallon of gasoline is $2.15 with gas in Washington and Nowata counties coming in at $2.14 and $2.17 a gallon, respectively.
