A Labette County woman was arrested yesterday on several drug charges.

Labette County Deputies responded to information in reference to a wanted individual staying in Mound Valley. Upon arrival, deputies knocked on the door several times and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence. After several more minutes of knocking and hearing movement inside the residence, deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence. Upon making entry, a white female was removed from the residence and identified as Leanda Pound. During the search, numerous items were seized from the residence, including items used to grow & fertilize marijuana. Deputies also seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Pound was arrested and is currently being held at the Labette County Sheriff's office on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia & distribution of marijuana.
