Montgomery County Commission Meeting for Feb. 10th

The Montgomery County Commissioners met for their weekly meeting on Monday morning. The meeting began with the approval of the agenda along with approval of invoices.

The Commissioners had no minutes to approve this week. County Counselor Paul Kritz was in attendance and to start, went into an executive session regarding confidential matters relating to financial affairs. After close to an hour of the executive session, the meeting continued with Jim Wright from Public Works who needed agreements and signatures from the Commissioners regarding Tucker Corner.

All three Commissioners approved and signed off as it was for the construction inspection with Cook Flat involving Tucker Corner. County Clerk Charlotte Scott Schmidt brought up neighborhood revitalization to the Commissioners and was wanting to get approval for the neighborhood revitalization software program to be used within the county. This would benefit the appraisers office, clerks office and down to the treasurer's office. Data would be put into the system and the program would help calculate the appropriate response to save time and energy for employees working with the program.

The agenda is always subject to change and all meetings are open to the public. There will be no meeting next week so the next scheduled Montgomery County Commission meeting will be on Monday, February 24th at 9:00 AM in the Lower Level of the Judicial Center in Independence.
