A Parsons man has been arrested on multiple charges including domestic battery and possession of marijuana.
Parsons police were responding to the 1100 block of Crawford on a domestic disturbance call and when officers arrived they met with the female victim and she told officers that she escaped her home and called police from a neighbor’s house. 25-year old Zachary Swafford was spotted leaving the scene in a green Saturn Ion. After a short pursuit, Swafford stopped and was arrested. A search of Swafford’s vehicle produced over a pound of packaged marijuana which was individually packaged for sale. Cash and scales were also discovered in the vehicle.
Swafford is facing charges of aggravated domestic battery, criminal threat, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, sale and distribution of marijuana, fleeing and attempting to elude and a list of traffic violations relating to the pursuit. Swafford is being held in the Labette County jail.
