One person killed, with many other injuries and arrests reported. After the Chiefs won the Super Bowl one fan Sunday night was killed when he tried to shoot commercial grade fireworks from an improvised mortar when one exploded. The man who was not identified was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In other celebration news around Kansas City, KCPD says 20,000 people were present in the power and light district for the Super Bowl watch party. Police made a total of 14 arrests and 45 more people were thrown out of the party. The Kansas City Fire Department says they responded to 24 medical incidents during and after the game.
