German Vocal Ensemble To Perform At Pitt State

The Pittsburg State Department of Music is pleased to present the Calmus Vocal Ensemble, a group of five noted musicians from Leipzig, who will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, in the Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall in McCray Hall at Pittsburg State University.

Founded in 1999 in Germany, the a cappella quintet embodies the rich choral tradition of its hometown of Leipzig. The group’s members are all graduates of Leipzig‘s renowned St. Thomas Church Choir School. The ensemble covers a range of music, from renaissance and baroque, all the way to contemporary choral repertoire, as well as pop songs and jazz numbers.

For tickets contact the PSU Department of Music at 620-235-4466.
