A Chanute man was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of theft.

Officers with the Chanute Police Department responded to the area of the 900 block of North Washington for a report of a person had entered a residence and the resident didn’t know who the subject was. Upon officers arrival, 48-year old Scott Crabtree was arrested for aggravated burglary and theft. He was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
