The final sales tax receipts for the 12-month reporting period of FY2019 are $2,023,851, which is up 3.5%, or $68,762 over the total reported 2018 of $1,955,089.

 

Sales tax budgeted for FY2019, came in at $92,751 over the budgeted amount of $1,931,100; this is 4.8% higher than the budget.

 

December receipts totaled $159,474, which is a decrease of $7,225 from December 2018, or down 4.3%.

 

The compensation use sales tax portion made up 11.7% of the $159,474 total for December.

 

For the FY2019, the compensating use sales tax made up 11.3%, or $227,929, of the $2,023,834 total sales tax revenue.

 

NOTE: The "receipts" reported from the state of Kansas to the City for any given month are from sales generated two months prior. Fior example, the December receipts shown in this report were from sales in October 2019.
