UPDATE: Two Arrested in Connection to Death of Melinda Sprague Corona

 

UPDATE as of 10:30 AM Friday: Wichita Police say they have arrested two people in connection to the death of 41-year-old and former Coffeyville resident Melinda Sprague Corona.

 

39-year old Ahmad Bey and 34-year old Vanessa Waner were each booked early Friday morning on a first degree murder charge.

 

Corona's vehicle was found Thursday in Wichita with her body inside the vehicle. Bey was on parole for a second degree murder conviction out of Crawford County in 1999.

Ahmad Khaasanouva Bey, the man accused of killing former Coffeyville resident Melinda Sprague Corona, has been arrested in Wichita.

 

Bey was booked Friday morning at 4:52 AM on a count of first degree murder. He's being held at the Sedgwick County Jail as of this report also on an A&D hold which means that he doesn't have an option to be released on bail.

 

Bey had only been out of prison for approximately six months after a 20 year prison sentence for murder.

 

41-year-old Corona had been missing since Monday, December 23rd.
