The Kansas Highway Patrol has released its Christmas Holiday Activity report for 2019. According to the data, both the number of speed citations and speed warnings drastically fell this year, from 1,000 and 956 in 2018, to just 232 and 346 in 2019. The KHP also provided 282 motorists with assistance.

The reporting period ran from 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve to midnight on Christmas day. In addition, the KHP worked no fatal crashes this year.
