The Higher Learning Commission has announced the removal of its sanction of notice and Independence Community College has been approved for reinstatement as an HLC-accredited institution. In November of 2017, ICC was placed on notice by the HLC for being at risk of incompliance with accreditation criteria. Over the past two years, ICC has faced challenges and changes, but the ICC community has worked hard to make improvement and persevere. With a new strategic plan and capable leadership in place, ICC is ready to continue moving forward in the right direction.
Interim President George Knox says he is very grateful to those who devoted so much time and attention to this project.
