PSU Hosting Holiday Concerts

 

Pittsburg State University will be hosting several concerts this holiday season that will be free and open to the public.

 

On Sunday, December 1st at 3:00 PM, the Bells of the Balkans will host the 8th Annual “Ring in the Season” in the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts at PSU. Multiple groups will perform seasonal selections including the award winning Bells of the Balkans led by Janis Saket. The concert is free and open to the public with the acceptance of donations.

 

The Southeast Kansas Symphony of PSU will have its annual Holiday Extravaganza on Tuesday, December 3rd from 7:30 to 9:00 PM at the Bicknell Center. Guests can enjoy refreshments and cake following the event. For details, call 620-235-4472.

 

The Timmons Music Concert will be held on Wednesday, December 4th and Friday, December 6th at the Timmons Chapel which is located at 409 East Ford. The concert on both nights will be held from 7:30 to 8:45 PM under the direction of David Hurley. Seating is limited, call 620-235-4479 for more information.

 

The annual PSU Holiday Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, December 4th from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the Overman Student Center Ballroom. The highlight will be music performed by the University Choir. The cost to attend is $8.00/person, but tickets must be purchased in advance and seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased by calling 620-235-4995 or by going online to gorilladining.com.
