Independence Main Street have announced that Sunday is the annual Home for the Holidays event in downtown Independence.

Merchants Open Houses begins at 1pm and local businesses will be decked out in with their Christmas finery and and snacks being served. Also you can sign up at participating businesses to win anywhere from $100 to $500 Holiday Dollars but you must sign up before 4pm. The day ends with the parade starting at 5:30pm with the Holiday Dollars giveaway following! Carriage rides, crafts, face painting and hot chocolate are also included free of charge.
