Kansas AG Offers Banned Peddlers List

Kansans now can access a public listing of door-to-door peddlers who have been prohibited by court order from doing business in the state Attorney General Derek Schmidt says the Kansas Legislature passed a law in 2016 making it a crime for a person to violate a court order prohibiting that person from engaging in door-to-door sales. The attorney general’s office for the first time is publishing on its consumer protection website a list of those individuals and businesses banned from door-to-door sales in Kansas. The list contains 25 peddlers banned in Kansas.

It will be updated as new peddlers are banned or if peddlers are removed from the list. Each entry also contains a link to the court order that banned the door-to-door peddler from Kansas. The list is now available at InYourCornerKansas.org.
