It's a full day of events down in Independence as the city celebrates its Veterans Day of Honor event. The city will be hosting numerous events throughout Saturday to honor those who have served the country and now live in the area. Events will run through about 8 p.m. tonight, and the Mid-Continent Band will be holding a Veterans Day concert on Monday.
