Dalton Defenders Days Activities

The Dalton Defenders Days begins this Friday with the grand re-opening of the Dalton Defenders & Coffeyville History Museum on October 4th at 9:00 am with a ribbon cutting.

A few of the activities included this weekend are the Chili Cookoff, Crusin' with the Daltons Car Cruise and the Dalton Defender Days Re-enactment on Friday night. Saturday's slate included a pancake feed put on by the Daylight Defenders Lions Club, the Coffeyville Friends of Animals Shelter Day event, train rides and more re-enactments.

Dalton Defenders Days celebrates that fateful day of October 5, 1892 when the Dalton Gang was defeated in Coffeyville. The Dalton Gang attempted to rob two banks in town and all but one of them was shot and killed. The event celebrates the four towns people who gave their lives defending Coffeyville.
