The Pitt State Jazz Ensemble and Combo will perform a free concert at 7:30pm on October 2nd in the Linda & Lee Scott Performance Hall in the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts on the campus of Pittsburg State University. The concert, titled “Red White and Jazz,” will begin with the jazz combo performing works by Horace Silver, John Coltrane, and more. Following the combo, the jazz ensemble will open with a patriotic flare performing works including “Fanfare for the Common Man,” “America the Beautiful,” and from the 1940s, “American Patrol.
