High school seniors who attend Rumble in the Jungle on October 5 will have their Pittsburg State University application fee waived, a new perk to an event that keeps growing. Director of Admissions Scott Donaldson says more than 1,000 high school and transfer students already have registered. Each will receive a meal, t-shirt, and a ticket to the Gorilla football game that evening in Carnie Smith Stadium. The event will begin with an overview of admission, financial aid, scholarships, housing, and activities, and will include an academic and student services showcase in which participants can meet faculty and staff and learn more about PSU programs.

It also will include a campus tour, and optional tours of the Kansas Technology Center and Student Recreation Center. Parents and siblings may attend, also, at no cost but their football tickets will be $5.
