The City of Fredonia has released an update on its continued work on 3rd Street as it works to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible. 

Fredonia City Administrator Kelley Zellner released an update Tuesday, sharing that the road condition was different than what was previously thought. As a result, the entire roadway from the south railroad tracks to the north railroad tracks will be edge milled and resurfaced with 2 inches of asphalt.

The current hope is to get the work done by homecoming with complete access for cars and pickups, but a 28-day "cure time" will be neccessary before resuming heavy truck traffic. For the full update, visit the city of Fredonia website by clicking here.
