US-169 (Walnut Street) shut down late Friday night after a train derailment. Officers headed out to the scene to direct traffic toward Buckeye Street and the Read Street Underpass while South Coffeyville police helped shut down US-169 at the state line. Updates will be added on kggfradio.com as they become available.

As of 11:00 p.m. Friday night, the train has not yet been cleared away. Union Pacific equipment has been called, but it will still take a couple of hours for the derailment to be fixed.
