A United States Congressman will soon be visiting Montgomery County. Representative Steve Watkins will visit Independence this Monday, July 29th, in an attempt to visit with constituents on how best to serve his district. He'll be holding a Town Hall meeting and can be reached from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Montgomery County Judicial Center - Administrative Hearing Room. Watkins will be introduced by Montgomery County GOP Chairman Virgil Peck.

Representative Watkins serves Kansas' 2nd District, which includes Montgomery County and much of the eastern portion of the state. He is currently in his first term of office.
