STEM for girls returning back at the I.C.C. FabLab! A free, 3 week course at the FabLab in Independence Community College as they still have a few spots left open! Director Joanne Smith says the goal is to expose these girls to STEM based programs they may not have thought of doing. It’s a FREE, 3 week intensive course teaching girls STEM based projects and problem solving. Classes are held Monday-Friday from 9AM to 3PM and the course runs from July 15th to August 2nd. The program is for girls in 6th through 8th grades and is from July 16th through August 2nd. To apply to the program you must visit fablabicc.org and the student must supply a 50 word paragraph stating why she wants to enter the program.
