Coffeyville's Reawakening and it's 9th Street Fresh Community Gardens might be collaborating with USD 445's Nutrition Department to bring fresh, local, and organic food to K-12 students. Pamela Lane, the district's Nutrition Director shares with us.
USD 445 is looking at a federal grant called Farm to School. About $7.5 million will be released in 2019 and 2020 to bring local food into more school meal programs, integrate agricultural education into classrooms, and cultivate and expand school gardens throughout the United States.
