Today marks the annual observance of Presidents Day across much of the United States. The official name of the holiday is Washington’s Birthday.  However, it has been observed as Presidents Day since the mid-1980s.  All federal offices will be closed.  There will be no mail delivery by the US Postal Service. There will be no trading on Wall Street. The Montgomery County Courthouse and Coffeyville Tag Office will be closed. A number of banks and other financial services firms will be closed.  Coffeyville Public Schools will be out of session while teachers have a professional day. 

Kansas is one of nine states that does not officially observe the holiday.
