The Coffeyville Community College approved the hiring of Gary Tucker during its January Board meeting; thus approving the addition of Esports to the program lineup offered at CCC.Esports is a cutting-edge competitive activity allowing students to compete locally, regionally, and nationally via online gaming. Students may compete as a team or as an individual. A gaming lab will allow students the opportunity to develop their skills and participate in various competitions.
A tuition and loan of books scholarship is available for those who qualify for the program. Those interested in applying for a Esports scholarship should complete the application at www.coffeyville.edu. For more information, contact Gary Tucker, Esports Coach, at tucker.gary@coffeyville.edu.
“We believe this new initiative aligns well with our Information Systems Technology program; It affords the student an opportunity to understand the equipment they are utilizing for competition and capitalize on its strengths.” said, Yvonne Hull, Sr. Director of College Relations, Marketing and Recruitment.
