Man Jailed For Wife's Death

An arrest comes after a southeast Kansas murder.  The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded around noon yesterday to the scene at a home along Highway 69.  The caller told dispatchers her granddaughter,  37-year-old Brandy Delmarco, had been assaulted by her husband, 32-year-old Jeremy Delmarco. Investigators found the victim outside the home upon arrival.   Brandy and her grandmother had both been stabbed. Brandy died from her injuries. Jeremy Delmarco, who had cut himself, ignored commands from deputies as they tried to take him into custody. A struggle resulted in which the suspect’s dog also attacked the deputy.

Delmarco was booked into jail after he was treated at a hospital.  He faces two complaints of second degree attempted murder and second degree murder.
