Chiefs Fans Ready For Big Game

Sunday’s forecast for Arrowhead looks like another frigid day for football fans. Temperatures will stay below freezing as the Kansas City Chiefs host the New England Patriots in the NFL’s AFC Championship.  Kick-off is set for 5:40 Sunday evening and the Chiefs Kingdom will be out in full-force. Parking passes can be purchased in advance from the Chiefs for $50. Gameday passes at the toll gates will cost $60. AAA-Kansas advises for fans staying overnight, accommodations could be difficult to get. Many hotels are booked and others have limited availability. With the threat of winter weather affecting roads, AAA-Kansas also recommends that drivers pack a winter emergency kit to keep in their vehicles. The kit should include items such as a fully charged cell phone, cell phone charger, snow brush, de-icer, shovel, kitty litter or other material for traction, bright triangle or reflector, first aid kit, flash light, jumper cables, tool kit, blankets and warm clothing, drinking water and snacks.

For those looking to avoid some of those issues, you can listen to the game on The Mighty 690 KGGF. There will be pre-game coverage ahead of the 5:40 pm kick-off.
